There is a story behind every enquiry received by the legal clinic. The person behind each story wants to seek justice, and I want them to see justice in the eyes of God. Each encounter allows me to see the brokenness in my life and their lives, and how limited our legal system can offer.
The prophet Isaiah said, “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out, till he has brought justice through to victory.” (Isaiah 42:3)
I am also that bruised reed or the smouldering wick that I identify with those who come to our legal clinic for help. God heals them and wipes their tears, and God also heals and wipes mine. Thankful for the support of a few warrior volunteers who have walked with me from day 1 of the legal clinic, without whom I cannot work by faith, labour as prompted by love and endure as inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
